This memorial was dedicated in 1997 and continues as the honor roll for those who have passed, and served as members of the Ligonier Volunteer Hose Co. No. 1

Forever carved in stone we honor those who volunteered time and talent to serve others in the Ligonier community. These individuals forged the traditions and fire service that shaped the future.  With these names one cannot count the hours dedicated, the helping hands, and the consolation provided to those who needed help in times of tragedy and danger.  That help will always be the reason we serve the community and we pledge to continue that mission with professionalism and without need of personal compensation.  We value our community, families, friends, businesses and visitors who travel through and live in the Ligonier Valley, and we thank you for your support.

To the families of those members listed on our memorial we thank you for sharing your loved one and know that it is an honor only few have achieved.
